Aspen Environmental Companies, LLC began in 1993 as a one-man operation plowing only a handful of residential customers. We have since grown into an award winning professional snow and ice management firm. While we still have a few residential accounts left from those early days we don't add any new single family residential snow plowing accounts to our routes. We have geared our company more toward plowing large residential developments, snowplowing at industrial complexes, retail establishments, and snow removal services at condominiums. Locally we plow or have plowed such accounts as Vernon Burger King, Coldwell Banker, Valley National Bank, Skylands Ice World, Weis supermarket, and the Vernon A & P Plaza to name a few. We currently service locations in Sussex County, Morris County, and Passaic County as well as lower New York.. We recently won an award for being the best at what we do!

Aspen Environmental Companies is proud to say that we have a SIMA CSP (Certified Snow Professional) on staff. For those of you that don't know about the CSP designation, it is the gauging of an individual's competence which is achieved through a written test. The test is designed to measure the individual's knowledge in business planning, accounting, management, technical aspects, mechanics of snow and ice management, sales, marketing, communications, public relations, health, safety and human resources. It is a thorough test, covering every aspect of professional snow and ice management. The test itself takes approximately 8 hours to complete.

Things to consider when hiring a Snow Professional:

Membership in a professional organization such as SIMA demonstrates a willingness on the part of the Snow Professional to stay educated and up to date on the latest tools, products, and information.

Price isn't everything. You should examine the credentials of the companies who submitted bids and determine the best combination of price, ability to do the work to be done, skill and professionalism.

Get it in writing. Reputable snow plowing contractors will have their clients sign a contract. Be sure to read the contract carefully. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Beware of short contracts that don't cover all scenarios. Professional snow and ice management companies will have all the bases covered in their contracts. This ensures there are no surprises. Everything is spelled out before any services are performed.
